This city is such a favorite for so many that curiosity got the best of us so we spent a long weekend in this timeless city.
We stayed in a chain hotel while here (cheap was the name of the game), but we longed to be in a quaint B&B or a riverfront boutique hotel. None-the-less, there are too many sidewalks, restaurants and parks to discover in Savannah to worry too much about your hotel room!
Do venture down to the river for glimpses of the river, bridge and to sip on a frozen concoction from Wet Willie’s.
Last, but certainly not least, is a ghost tour in Savannah. With a history as colorful as this city has, it’s no wonder stories have surfaced of sighting. It’s fun for the whole family, no matter if you’re a believer or a skeptic.
Savannah is a cute little city that is full of rich food and history. Make sure you take walking shoes and a big appetite with you when you visit. Go for a weekend or week and you’ll be sure to be pleased you did.
